We are Doing Good!

We are now officially residents of Eugene, Oregon and we are liking it so far.

Natalie her second birthday! Her Grandma Marie made a wonderful cake and dinner to celebrate. We all had a great time.

The girls were both witches for Halloween...good little witches. We enjoyed a ward party in Denver and Trick or Treating in Eugene.

Goodwill Sales Day

Our Goodwill Store had a half off sale on Saturday. I found this cabinet for $20. I brought it home and painted it white. It holds our TV and cable box perfectly and I like having doors to shut in front of the TV. *sigh* I heart Goodwill.

Perfect Pancakes

Eric and the girls are busy making delicious pancakes this morning for breakfast. Natalie and Lauren both LOVE helping in the kitchen.

Paper Cuts, Part Two

I should call this post: Hot Glue Gun Burns All over My Fingers. I am still tinkering with paper wreaths. Here is the latest attempt. I went with medium size paper cones. I am still working on finding the best scale size for the diameter of the wreath so that it look balanced.

Paper Cut

I've been experimenting with paper today trying to learn how to make a paper wreath. The colorful wreath is my first attempt and I made large paper cones out of scrapbook paper and a book.

This black and white wreath is my second attempt at paper wreaths. With this one, I made smaller cones out of scrapbook paper and an old book. I think I like the smaller cones...it gives the wreath more detail. I think I will add more black and white paper to it and build up a little more contrast.

Fall Wreath

I started this wreath using leaf garland on a grapevine base. Then I went to a yard sale with Eric on Saturday and found a huge bouquet of fall flowers for $2.00. I brought the bouquet home and dismantled each stem and added it to the wreath over the leaves. I like my wreaths full and lush and this one seemed to foot the bill (it is almost too fluffy and full and lush). I love fall decor and I am excited to decorate my little piece of my apartment complex.
